Summary
Seeking a Senior Professional Application Developer to provide support for the NJMMIS Medicaid Pharmacy Point of Sale (POS), Data Warehouse, Member ODS and NJMMIS Mainframe systems. Primary job functions include support of data analytics and some software development for the listed systems. Must have the ability to function well in a team environment and/or work independently to achieve project goals. The ability to multi-task and adapt to changing initiatives is also a key component to the position.

The pay range for this position is $72,800.00 - $104,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. Your role in our mission
- Participation in data analysis activities
- Reviews code, tests done, documents projects according to the specifications provided.
- Participates in and conducts peer reviews as needed.
- Participates in creating unit and other test plans for assigned programming tasks.
- Provides moderately complex to complex technical and production support to end-users.
- Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
- Reviews and analyzes writing program specifications.
- Reviews design of new programs of routine complexity and for basic enhancements to existing programs.
- Recommends changes to client software based on information such as client feedback, language changes and new technology.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years' of experience with COBOL, JCL, IDCAMS, Expeditor, TSO/ISPF for Mainframe activities
- Experience using IBM CMOD and Control-M
- Experience working with relational databases, specifically Oracle and DB2
- 5+ years of experience using ad-hoc SQL to query databases, with at least 5+ years' experience
- Experience with version control software
- Strong knowledge of the software development life cycle required
