ServiceNow CMDB Architect Location: Philadelphia, PA (3-4 days per week onsite at 1800 Arch Street) Fulltime
We're looking for a highly experienced and strategic ServiceNow CMDB Architect to join our team. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for the vision, design, and implementation of our ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB). Your deep expertise in ServiceNow Discovery and robust CMDB governance will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of our IT configuration data.

You'll be instrumental in leveraging ServiceNow Discovery to populate and maintain the CMDB, as well as establishing the policies and procedures that guarantee data integrity and operational excellence.
What You'll Do:

  • Architect and maintain our ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring it aligns with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and our overall enterprise IT strategy.

  • Lead the design and implementation of ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping solutions to automate CMDB population and dependency mapping, providing a clear picture of our IT landscape.

  • Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive CMDB governance policies and procedures to ensure top-notch data quality, clear ownership, and effective lifecycle management.

  • Define and establish CI classes, attributes, and relationships, making sure our IT services and infrastructure are logically and accurately represented.

  • Collaborate closely with ITSM, ITOM, and other relevant teams to seamlessly integrate CMDB data and support various critical IT processes.

  • Drive continuous improvement of CMDB health, data accuracy, and completeness through regular audits, reporting, and proactive remediation efforts.

  • Provide expert guidance and thought leadership on CMDB and Discovery capabilities, fostering a culture of data integrity and responsible configuration management across the organization.

What You'll Bring:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with ServiceNow, specifically with Discovery and CMDB modules.

  • A strong background in integrating ServiceNow with external systems using APIs and MID Servers.

  • A solid understanding of ITSM, ITOM, and IT governance frameworks.

  • Proficiency in ServiceNow platform administration, configuration, and scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript).

  • The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable strategies for various stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
