IT & Classroom Technology Support Technician

Location: Cambridge, MA (On-site)

Overview

We are seeking a well-presented, customer-focused IT & Classroom Technology Support Technician with a strong passion for technology. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced academic environment, enjoys troubleshooting, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service. You will be the first point of contact for classroom technology issues, ensuring faculty, staff, and students have a seamless experience.
This position requires prior IT support experience and an interest in AV systems. If you are sharp, professional, and eager to grow your technical skills, this is an excellent opportunity to advance within a large office space solutions company in the Boston area.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level support for classroom technology, including AV systems, displays, and conferencing platforms such as Zoom Rooms
  • Assist users with equipment operation, connectivity, and troubleshooting
  • Monitor system health and escalate recurring issues to internal teams and vendor partners
  • Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on classroom technology
  • Maintain clean, organized, and functional technology spaces

Schedule

Monday through Friday, with shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM (coverage may vary within this window). Occasional Saturday support for live events as needed.

Qualifications

Required:
  • IT support experience, including hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Strong communication skills and polished, professional presence
  • Customer-first mindset and ability to work independently
  • Interest in AV technology and willingness to learn

Preferred:
  • Experience supporting classroom or corporate technology environments
  • Familiarity with conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams) and AV health checks

Compensation

Pay is based on experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
