job summary:

As a Senior Product Owner/Business Analyst, you will define, plan, and implement high-impact technology solutions to achieve strategic directives and meet global regulatory mandates. You will act as the primary bridge between Business and Technology counterparts, directing the execution of complex projects throughout the entire system development lifecycle (SDLC).

responsibilities:

Strategic Objectives

  • Platform Transformation: Implement a comprehensive collateral management platform to service global client needs, drive process simplification, and eliminate redundant capabilities.
  • Process Optimization: Leverage existing rules engines to design and execute end-to-end process flows.
  • Data Integration: Establish standard, simplified data management and systems integration to ensure a flexible and robust overall offering.
Major Responsibilities Product Leadership & Requirements
  • Strategic Facilitation: Lead complex business/system requirement sessions by facilitating meetings with global stakeholders.
  • Vision & Design: Collaborate with business teams to develop wireframes and articulate a clear product vision to the development team.
  • Concept Decomposition: Translate abstract, complex concepts into functional requirements easily understood by users, developers, and testers.
  • Documentation: Produce clear, concise project artifacts and requirements consistent with internal methodology frameworks.
Execution & Data Flow
  • Architecture Design: Design and execute end-to-end data and process flows, ensuring seamless connectivity across the ecosystem, including SWIFT integration.
  • Lifecycle Oversight: Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle, ensuring governance with project methodology standards and tollgate approvals.
  • Dependency Management: Proactively manage cross-team dependencies between various business and IT units.
Project Governance & Management
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop and manage project plans, including active issue resolution and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Stakeholder Management: Consult with implementation specialists and manage participation from key stakeholders to ensure accurate deliverables.
  • Quality Assurance: Direct the development of user training plans, business-level User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and implementation strategies.
  • Leadership: Instruct, guide, and supervise project teams while providing strategic leadership to maintain disciplined processes.




qualifications:

Education & Experience


Education: Bachelor's degree in Technology, Finance, Business, or a related field.


Financial Expertise: 15+ years of financial services experience, with at least 5+ years specifically in Collateral Management.


Implementation Background: Proven track record in software implementation as a Business Analyst or Product Owner within Financial Services.


Technical Proficiency: Hands-on SQL experience and working knowledge of relational and object stores.


Domain Knowledge


Data Architecture: Deep knowledge of Trade Flows, Security Reference/Market Data, Valuations, and Benchmark Data.


Workflow Integration: Experience in custody and settlement workflows using SWIFT for security and cash movements.


Methodology: Expert-level experience implementing financial systems using Agile and standardized SDLC tools.


Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)


Platform Knowledge: Experience with Colline, Apex, or Cloud Margin.


Development Background: Prior development experience in Collateral Management applications.


Advanced Tools: High proficiency in Excel, Access, VBA, and Visio.
