Job Summary

The Dayforce Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance, and support of the Dayforce HCM platform. This role ensures the system is configured to meet business requirements, operates efficiently, and supports HR, Payroll, Workforce Management, and Talent processes. The Dayforce Administrator serves as the primary point of contact for system configuration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

System Administration & Configuration

  • Administer and maintain the Dayforce HCM platform, including core HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Benefits, and Talent modules.
  • Configure business rules, workflows, forms, policies, pay rules, and security roles.
  • Manage user access, roles, permissions, and data security.
  • Maintain organizational structures, job hierarchies, and employee data.

Troubleshooting & Support

  • Act as the primary support resource for Dayforce-related issues and inquiries.
  • Troubleshoot system errors, integration issues, and data discrepancies.
  • Partner with Ceridian/Dayforce support to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive solutions.

Payroll & Time Management Support

  • Support payroll processing, audits, and reconciliations within Dayforce.
  • Ensure accurate configuration of pay codes, earnings, deductions, and taxes.
  • Support timekeeping configuration, pay policies, schedules, and labor rules.

Testing & Change Management

  • Perform system testing for configuration changes, updates, and new releases.
  • Support Dayforce upgrades and patches; evaluate impact and implement changes.
  • Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and system changes.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure system configurations comply with labor laws, payroll regulations, and internal policies.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize Dayforce functionality and improve business processes.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience administering Dayforce HCM.
  • Strong hands-on experience with system configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding of HR, Payroll, and Workforce Management processes.
  • Experience with system testing, upgrades, and release management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Dayforce certifications (e.g., HCM, Payroll, WFM).
  • Experience with integrations, APIs, or data interfaces.
  • Experience supporting multi-country or complex payroll environments.
