Job Title: AI Business Consultant

Location: Windsor, CT

Duration: 12+ months

(Hybrid- Onsite Position)

Position Overview

The AI Business Consultant plays a key role in driving the execution, adoption, and business value realization of AI initiatives across Voya. This role serves as a strategic bridge between business units and technical teams ensuring that AI solutions are practical, scalable, aligned with enterprise goals, and successfully integrated into real business environments.

The ideal candidate brings a combination of business acumen, technology adoption experience, and strong familiarity with modern AI capabilities, ideally within financial services.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnership & Strategy

  • Partner with business unit leaders to understand strategic goals, operational challenges, and process workflows.
  • Identify and shape AI opportunities that deliver measurable outcomes and operational transformation.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, helping leaders envision the art of the possible through AI innovation.

AI Opportunity Identification & Road mapping

  • Develop prioritized AI roadmaps, delivery frameworks, and reusable playbooks.
  • Define business cases, success metrics, and KPIs for AI initiatives.
  • Recommend opportunities for automation, optimization, and cost reduction through AI.

AI Delivery Execution

  • Lead end-to-end execution of AI initiatives, translating strategy into actionable technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with data science, engineering, and architecture teams for seamless solution delivery.
  • Support transitions from proof-of-concept to production with minimal friction.
  • Monitor ongoing delivery performance, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with business expectations.

Governance, Compliance & Alignment

  • Ensure AI solutions comply with Client s data governance, regulatory, and ethical requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and stakeholder communication across business and technical teams.
  • Coordinate initiatives across multiple business units or shared services where needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Manage communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Drive organizational readiness, training, and adoption of new AI capabilities.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives, special projects, and process improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience supporting the development, delivery, or adoption of technology-based solutions.
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML solution types such as:
    • Intelligent automation
    • Predictive analytics
    • NLP
    • Generative AI
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into actionable AI use cases.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and operational models, ideally in:
    • Wealth Management
    • Retirement Services
    • Employee Benefits
    • Operations
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and engagement skills.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on delivery capability.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience driving adoption of new technology in enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with financial services environments preferred.

Additional Information

  • Position requires the consultant to be onsite in Windsor, CT several days each month.
  • Strong preference for candidates experienced in bringing technology-based solutions into real business environments and supporting successful adoption.
  • Familiarity with modern AI capabilities, industry best practices, and typical implementation challenges is highly beneficial.
