Research Scientist

• Lead and execute research projects on speech quality; analyze results and report findings.

• Conduct pilot listening tests and other perceptual experiments.

• Monitor project issues, facilitate resolution, and maintain momentum.

• Communicate progress, dependencies, and risks to stakeholders.

• Support research scientists and engineers with technical and operational tasks.

• Manage procurement for equipment and vendor services.

• Take on hands-on tasks to support team goals.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple projects proactively.

• Experience in speech perception, hearing sciences, or auditory research.

• Skilled in data collection with human participants.

• Background in fast-paced research or product development environments.

• Proficiency in Matlab, Python, C++, or R.

• Master s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Cognitive Science, Audio Engineering, Experimental Psychology, Acoustics, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with tonal languages (e.g., Mandarin, Vietnamese, Yoruba).

• PhD or equivalent experience.

• Familiarity with AI-generated speech.

• Experience modeling audio quality.
