Lead and execute research projects on speech quality; analyze results and report findings.
Conduct pilot listening tests and other perceptual experiments.
Monitor project issues, facilitate resolution, and maintain momentum.
Communicate progress, dependencies, and risks to stakeholders.
Support research scientists and engineers with technical and operational tasks.
Manage procurement for equipment and vendor services.
Take on hands-on tasks to support team goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects proactively.
Experience in speech perception, hearing sciences, or auditory research.
Skilled in data collection with human participants.
Background in fast-paced research or product development environments.
Proficiency in Matlab, Python, C++, or R.
Master s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Cognitive Science, Audio Engineering, Experimental Psychology, Acoustics, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with tonal languages (e.g., Mandarin, Vietnamese, Yoruba).
PhD or equivalent experience.
Familiarity with AI-generated speech.
Experience modeling audio quality.
