Position Description
Client Technology Analyst - with limited direction provides technical support for end users in the Harris County Clerks Office, Election Division Provides strong customer service for all customers, including assisting with VIPs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides advanced troubleshooting of PC, other endpoint hardware (including but not limited to printers, scanners, tablets, and smart phones) and software issues.
  • Provisions new network accounts, password resets, etc. Actively manages user technology inventories (workstations, devices, etc).
  • Works independently with a high level of productivity.
  • Provide client-side support for department users including account provisioning and permissions, desktop support (hardware and software), desktop provisioning (imaging, software installations, VoIP phones, tracking of hardware assets), and managing/tracking IT inventory and licensing.
  • Provides on-site and remote support for elections, including participation in physical deployment and setup of certain locations.
  • Partners with Harris County Universal Services to ensure proper procedures for desktop imaging, endpoint protection, and general system configurations are being followed.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution.
  • Two (2) or more years of demonstrable experience supporting endpoints (including desktops, laptops, and smart phones) in a large enterprise, advanced experience supporting desktop productivity and business applications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Exceptional technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven skill working on PC operating system and hardware.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
  • The ability to interact with staff at all levels, including VIPs.
  • The ability to work independently with a high level of productivity and accuracy.
  • Ability to work extended hours during election periods.
  • MUST have exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot complicated issues.

General Information
Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
  • Regular Full-time
  • Monday - Friday | 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.
    • Overtime hours as required.
    • During election periods the IT department is required to be on-call / providing support during evenings and weekends.

Salary:
  • $27.00 Hourly

  • This job operates in a professional office environment as well as warehouse and branch locations.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filling cabinets.
