Minimum Educational Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science, Data analytics, Mathematics, Economics or Engineering with strong engineering aptitude or equivalent experience

Requirements:
2-8 years of relevant experience, based on amount of education or minimum 3 years' experience in analytical or information analysis.
Proficiency in data management and reporting

Overview (Data Analyst - Automotive Warranty & Safety):
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst with 3+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and trend evaluation. This role involves reviewing warranty and safety claims, conducting root cause analysis using technical vehicle data, and ensuring compliance with NHTSA regulations. Proficiency in Excel is essential; SQL and knowledge of automotive systems are preferred. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling sensitive information, managing multiple data sources, and delivering insights to support engineering investigations.

Responsibilities:
Review and disposition all warranty claims, Techline contacts, and Field Quality Reports using engineering fundamentals and understanding of vehicle technology by analyzing failure trends, validating the technical relevance of complaints using technical data, and determining root cause across different vehicle systems.

List the key accountabilities that must be carried out to fulfil the job purpose. % of time
40%~Examples of data required for validation and disposition include OBD Data, dealer repair method, vehicle repair history, factory defects (QICS and FIC), vehicle feature configurations, supplied parts sourcing, and relevance to ongoing internal root cause investigations.
15%~Complete ad-hoc data requests from internal Honda associates, ensuring timely and accurate responses
15% ~Conduct weekly audits of F&S filters and AI classifications to ensure items are not missed, using engineering insights and knowledge of vehicle technology.
10% ~ Conduct weekly reviews of NHTSA VOQs and create disposition based on engineering analysis and reported incidents (Death, Injury & Crash).
10% ~ Process overseas and A-Rank QIS's within 3 working days using engineering fundamentals to identify potential overlap with existing investigations.
5% ~Maintain the A-rank QIS PD and C/M application upon closure of the QIS, ensuring engineering accuracy.
5% ~ Maintain data request systems and related reporting.
