Job Description
As a Full Stack Web Development Architect, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers in the design and implementation of modern, scalable, and secure web applications using React JS, Node JS, MongoDB, and AWS technologies. You will not only be responsible for your own actions but also for guiding and mentoring junior team members.
On a daily basis, you will collaborate with geographically-dispersed, cross-functional teams to define and maintain APIs, test, and deliver complex end-to-end software solutions in a timely fashion. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Analyzing and understanding UI/UX and business requirements to suggest efficient and scalable technical solutions for new and existing functionality.
Defining and maintaining the architectureroadmap and technical solutions for each part of the project.
Ensuring the quality of front-end applications by taking ownership of architecture qualities such as usability, accessibility, and performance.
Managing all stages of the development lifecycle and experience in a production software engineering environment.
Actively listening to Front-End engineers and including their propositions in the final solution to avoid ivory-tower syndrome.
Providing architectural services, including guidance and conceptual design as well as technical and process innovations.
Working with Front-End engineers to generate and maintain code according to the agreed coding standards and best practices.
Remaining up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web front-end development.
Writing API specs using SWAGGER.
Investigating the latest technologies and building quick Proof of Concept functionalities to address future business needs.
Experience in MongoDB and using AWS cloud services including S3, KMS, Cloud Formation, API Gateway, Lambdas, ECS, SQS, and Fargate.
Preparing, improving, and introducing new approaches/methodologies/tools and techniques within the department.
Working to meet delivery commitments of feature content throughout the whole Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC).
Preparing technical documentation.
Identifying the appropriate software architecturefor server-side as well as client-side solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or other relevant degree.
7+ years of professional experience as a front-end JavaScript developer.
3+ years of professional experience as an Architector Lead in projects with heavy use of modern frontend and backend technologies.
3+ years of experience in designing and building SPA applications using an application building framework or library (NodeJS, React, Vue, etc.).
Familiarity with modern JavaScript development toolset ("build" tools, packaging, linting, transpilers).
A confirmed project track record of building enterprise-grade, Internet-facing web applications for business users (e.g.: security, RESTful Web API design, HTTP in-depth, test automation in the browser, i18n).
