Senior System Administrator - Direct Hire Opportunity
Location: Downtown Dallas Area (Hybrid - 2 Days Remote)
Position Type: Full-Time Direct Hire (NO C2C)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
About This Opportunity
Join our Infrastructure team as a Senior System Administrator and take ownership of mission-critical operational technology systems. This role offers the perfect blend of project work and hands-on technical challenges in a manufacturing environment with excellent work-life balance.
What You'll Do
Daily Responsibilities:
- Lead major infrastructure projects including site server updates, Nutanix and Cohesity implementations
- Manage day-to-day operations of Windows Servers (2008-2025), VMware, and Hyper-V environments
- Monitor system performance, configuration, and maintenance across local and remote offices
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users and operational technology systems
- Maintain security protocols and protect networks from unauthorized access
- Document IT infrastructure, create functional specifications, and manage project workflows
Key Projects:
- Large-scale server migrations and upgrades
- Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure deployments
- Cohesity backup system implementations
- Network infrastructure improvements
What We're Looking For
Required Experience:
- 10+ years Infrastructure administration experience
- 7+ years Operational Technology infrastructure support
- Advanced expertise with VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, and Cohesity
- Strong background with Cisco networking and enterprise servers
- Experience with operational technologies (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems)
- Proficiency in Windows Server environments and Active Directory
Ideal Candidate:
- Manufacturing industry background strongly preferred
- Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Self-motivated problem-solver with project management capabilities
- Experience with enterprise backup/recovery and system monitoring tools
