Job Description
As an Engineer/Scientist I, QC at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. you have the unique opportunity to be part of a work class team that is committed to making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. In this role you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our MAS products through detailed testing and analysis. Join us in our ambitious mission to accelerate research, drive innovation, and support patients in need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional testing of intermediate and finished goods kits according to approved SOPs
- Document accurate test results using Excel spreadsheets and workbooks
- Maintain lot histories and evaluate test data for trends and discrepancies
- Independently revise and update SOPs and/or worksheets
- Assist in maintaining and organizing the QC Laboratory space.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Minimum BA/BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Bioscience or equivalent with 0 - 2 years of Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience, preferably in the medical diagnostics industry
- Strong laboratory skills, including pipetting, safety, and hazardous chemical handling
- Understanding of cGMP and its application in the work environment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Clear and concise documentation skills
- Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software
- Strong multitasking abilities and ability to work independently
