Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and analytical Labor Management Specialist to oversee and optimize labor planning and workforce execution across our supply chain operations. This role is responsible for ensuring labor efficiency, compliance, and productivity through data-driven workforce management strategies and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities :- Develop, implement, and manage Labor Management Systems (LMS) within warehouse and distribution operations.
- Monitor labor performance metrics (e.g., productivity, utilization, cost per unit), identify trends, and propose improvements.
- Analyze staffing needs based on workload forecasts, seasonality, and production schedules.
- Coordinate labor planning across facilities to ensure adequate workforce availability and cost-effective scheduling.
- Partner with HR and Operations to manage labor compliance, shift patterns, and workforce allocation.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to labor planning and workforce execution.
- Support implementation of workforce technology tools (WMS, LMS, TMS) and ensure proper training for end-users.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety standards, and company policies.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for senior management, highlighting labor KPIs and performance trends.
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives focused on labor efficiency and cost reduction.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 3 5+ years of experience in labor management or workforce planning within a logistics, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Labor Management Systems (e.g., Manhattan, JDA, Blue Yonder, Kronos, Reflexis).
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse processes, productivity standards, and performance benchmarking.
- Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement certification.
- Experience in union/non-union labor environments.
- Familiarity with forecasting and workforce modeling tools.
