Our client is looking for an IT Project Analyst/Manager to join their Team! The IT Project Analyst will collaborate with technical engineers and act as a technical liaison with other IT entities.
- Provide IT technical expertise and consultation to Energy Services managers, engineers, and staff.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the department in designing systems infrastructure to solve recurring problems.
- Provide technical consultation and project management on complex projects.
- Assist with the installation, modification, or enhancement of utility operating and control systems.
- Coordinate IT plans with department leadership, Finance & Operations IT, ITS, and other campus stakeholders.
- Assist with Energy Services IT resource planning and budget development.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and problem-solving for complex technical issues.
- Learn and apply new technologies, equipment behaviors, and diagnostic methods quickly and effectively.
- Balance focused, detail-oriented tasks with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

Technical Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory in a medium to large-scale enterprise environment.
- Proficient in supporting and administering Microsoft desktop and server operating systems.
- Strong working knowledge of core network services and protocols, including:
- DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewall rule configuration
- Group Policy implementation and management
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), including:
- Software and update deployment
- Application and package creation and distribution
- Skilled in scripting and programming, including:
- PowerShell, C#, and JavaScript
- Experience working with SQL Server:
- Writing and optimizing SQL queries
- Understanding and working with database table structures
- Background in web application development, with the ability to investigate, diagnose, and resolve system-related issues efficiently.
Operational Requirements:
- Must be able to safely and legally operate a motor vehicle for transportation
- Maintenance and support duties require safe use of hand tools, including power drills and cutting equipment.
- Must be capable of identifying and mitigating safety hazards related to physical, electrical, chemical, biological, and other potential risks.
- This position must be able to respond to emergencies when not on official leave.
Special Requirements:
- Must be able to lift/move objects or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Must have the ability to work in extreme weather conditions including extreme heat/cold, direct sun, precipitation, and wind.
- Responsibilities of the position require frequent travel. This includes frequent pedestrian travel and transport of equipment.
- Must be able to manipulate hand tools, such as screwdrivers and wire cutters, and perform tasks on ladders or enclosed spaces.
- Equipment installation may occur in active construction or renovation sites. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and hard hats will be provided as needed. Employees are expected to wear suitable clothing (e.g., full-length pants and closed-toe shoes) at all times.
- Some service locations may include outdoor areas during inclement weather, as well as environments such as hospitals, chemical and radiation storage facilities, warehouses, and high-traffic parking zones.
- The ability to accurately distinguish colors and shapes is essential for performing technical tasks and troubleshooting.
Work Conditions & Expectations:
- The position may occasionally require work during off-hours, weekends, or holidays based on management directives, customer needs, or unforeseen circumstances.
- Frequent interaction with a diverse range of individuals including vendors, technical personnel, and campus staff requires excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- The role may involve sensitive or high-pressure situations where courteous and composed interaction with all stakeholders is essential.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of experience in operations analysis and design, systems programming, or a closely related area; OR
- Bachelor s degree from an appropriately accredited institution in any field and four (4) years of experience in operations analysis and design, systems programming, or a closely related area; OR
- Associate s degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, or Networking Technology from an appropriately accredited institution and five (5) years of experience in operations analysis and design, systems programming, or a closely related area; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience. All degrees must be awarded by appropriately accredited institutions.
