The Role
You are responsible for the creation and documentation of modeling plans to engineering team and initiation of new processes and tools. Responsible to create and execute Finite Element Analysis (FEA) plans for assigned projects. Participate in the creation of assigned subsystem Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models . Motivate CAE suppliers and internal resources to meet program milestones and deliverables. Perform and oversee resources for virtual assessment of designs and compare results to performance requirements. Initiate design solutions to resolve any performance issues with mass & cost efficiency.

Virtual Design, Development & Validation - Modeling Role: You will be responsible for the development and validation of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models for full vehicle.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Develop Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models for all subsystems of a full vehicle.
- Preform full Virtual Vehicle assembly and integration
- Work with engineers to validate Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models.
- Assist with the development and documentation of model content based on Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) customer needs and team needs.
- Support the design, structural development, and vehicle performance teams by applying root-cause analysis for issues identified during the model development.
- Track on-going CAE Studies, provide communication between program and CAE teams.
- Estimate project timelines and manage internal customer expectations.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or Physics
- 2+ years of product development/ testing/ validation or design release experience.
- Demonstrated skills in disciplined problem solving and data analysis.
- Experienced with software tools: ANSA, HYPERMESH, LS-DYNA, Optistruct/NASTRAN, ABAQUS, Siemens NX, Teamcenter.
- Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) theory and application
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Strong CAD (NX) skills.
- Demonstrated skills in disciplined problem solving and data analysis.
- Experienced with software tools: Python
- Proficient with CAE Tools for Morphing including (ANSA, Meshworks, HM).
- DFSS black belt or similar certification.
- 1-2 years experience with CAE solvers and pre- and post-processors such as: ANSA, Primer, Animator, LS-Dyna, Nastran, Optistruct/ Radioss, Abaqus, HyperWorks (HyperMesh/ HyperView).
- Knowledge of, and experience using principles of robust design and uncertainty analysis.
