ServicePoint is seeking a skilled and licensed LEA (Limited Energy Technician) to join our team as a Travel Technician. This role is based in Portland, Oregon, with travel as required to project sites throughout the United States. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in low-voltage systems, structured cabling, and network infrastructure, as well as the ability to work independently and represent our company professionally at client locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems including:
- Structured cabling (Cat6, fiber optics)
- Access control systems
- CCTV/security camera systems
- Audio/visual systems
- Network equipment and racks
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to ensure proper installation and compliance with codes.
- Perform site assessments and document job progress accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with Oregon LEA licensing requirements and applicable state/local codes.
- Travel as required to support project rollouts, installations, and service work.
- Maintain inventory of tools, materials, and equipment while traveling.
- Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members.
- Follow safety standards and company protocols at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Oregon LEA License (or ability to obtain reciprocity if currently licensed in another state).
- 2+ years of experience in large commercial low-voltage installations (structured cabling, security systems, or related fields).
- Strong knowledge of EIA/TIA standards, cable routing, and termination practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while traveling.
- Proficiency with basic hand and power tools.
- Valid driver s license and ability to travel as required, including overnight stays.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in various environments (ladders, confined spaces, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Axis, Avigilon, Lenel, Exacq).
- Experience in commercial data center environments or enterprise network builds.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- Aerial Left certifications.
- Experience with fiber optics (fusion splicing, testing).

- Daily per diem for travel assignments.

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday Friday with flexibility for weekend work and travel as required.
