Do you have a passion for continuous process improvement and a background in the IT field? We have a great opportunity for you! As a Cybersecurity Engineer I, you will learn the skills and expertise to design, test, and implement our secure operating systems, networks, security monitoring, and tuning. You'll be responsible for the management of our IT security systems and applications, data loss prevention, conducting risk and vulnerability assessments, and developing and implementing security controls. You'll research, evaluate, and recommend new security tools, techniques, and technologies in alignment with our IT security strategy and introduce them to the enterprise.
As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.

Responsibilities:
- Design, test, and implement secure information systems, network, environments, and capabilities
- Manage and engineer cybersecurity capabilities at SNC including cybersecurity network tools, data loss prevention, monitoring and visibility tools, enterprise system agents, etc.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of information systems, functionalities, compliance, standards, and processes
- Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments; develop and implement security controls
- Work closely with other teams across SNC, collaborating to perform security assessments, provide guidance, and foster a culture of security at SNC
- Enhance technical future-facing cybersecurity skills such as cloud security, devsecops, AI security, etc.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline and typically 0 - 2 years of relevant experience
- A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Basic understanding of data security administration principles, methods, and techniques
- Familiarity with domain structures, user authentication, and digital signatures
Qualifications We Prefer:
- ISSM CAP, CISSP, or CISM Certification
- ISSE CAP, CISSP-ISSEP Certification
- ISSO Security+, CISA, or CASP+ Certification
- MCSE, Linux, and/or CCNP Security Certification
- Proven track record of maintaining the confidentiality of high-sensitivity projects and data.
- Ability to perform critical-incident response
- Knowledge of DoD, government contracting and/or public auditing, policies, standards, and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret security and technical documentation
