Data & ML Architect New Resources Consulting

Summary: We re looking for a Data & ML Architect to design and deliver modern data solutions that support AI initiatives, including large language model (LLM) projects. This role will work closely with both business and technical teams to define strategies, architect scalable solutions, and introduce emerging technologies like Snowflake and Azure services.

In this role, you ll lead architecture discussions, guide technology decisions, and mentor team members while promoting best practices and collaboration across teams. You ll design and model data environments, support data integration and transformation, and help implement end-to-end solutions. This position requires a balance of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership to shape the future of data and AI within the organization.

This role is primarily remote but will require occasional on-site visits to the Greater Milwaukee area, about once per quarter.

Qualifications

  • 10 15 years of experience delivering data and analytics solutions in complex environments.
  • Strong background in data architecture, integration, and analytics.
  • Proficient with tools and concepts such as:
  • Analytics & BI: Python, Alteryx, Power BI, Power Pivot, Power Query, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS
  • Databases: SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, ADLS, Snowflake
  • Integration Tools: Azure Data Factory, SSIS, DBT, FiveTran
  • Data Modeling: ER/Studio, Visio, conceptual/logical/physical modeling
  • Data Warehousing Concepts: Kimball, Inmon, Data Lakes, Modern Data Architectures
  • Formats & APIs: CSV, JSON, XML, Parquet, streaming, near real-time data
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language.
  • Certifications are a plus but not required, including:
  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
  • Azure Fundamentals Certification
  • SnowPro Core Certification
