Manual API Tester

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a cient in Greenwood Village, CO that is immediately seeking a QA Test Engineer with strong manual testing experience, particularly in API testing. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a solid foundation in software testing and a collaborative attitude. While this role focuses on manual testing, there will be opportunities to contribute to automation efforts for smoke and regression testing in the future. Experience in the telecom domain and familiarity with mobile/voice device testing is a plus.

Responsibilities
* Execute manual API testing using tools like Postman
* Develop and maintain comprehensive test cases in Qmetry or similar test management tools
* Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to ensure high-quality deliverables
* Support future automation initiatives for smoke and regression testing, leveraging Java and Selenium when applicable
* Participate in test planning, defect tracking, and reporting
* Clearly document issues and communicate effectively with team members

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience in manual API testing
* Hands-on experience with Postman or similar API testing tools
* Familiarity with automation principles and willingness to contribute to automation over time
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong team collaboration and problem-solving skills
* Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn and adapt

Preferred:
* Experience writing test cases in Qmetry
* Exposure to Java/Selenium for automation
* Background in the telecommunications industry
* Familiarity with mobile or voice device testing

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
