ASD has an opening for a senior level .NET Developer to join our team. This position provides an opportunity to join an expanding team that will continue to develop and expand a system that supports an existing government customer. We work closely with our customer to ensure that we continue to provide the updated services needed as they expand their own offerings to a growing list of other government organizations.

The selected .NET Developer candidate will work within established Agile teams to build and further advance software systems and applications. 

Key Responsibilities:

The .Net Developer conducts or participates in the research, design, and development of systems software, software applications and/or tools for new programs and subprograms. Responsibilities also include enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software. In addition, this employee is responsible for coding, testing, integrating, deploying, and documenting software solutions.

The senior-to-expert .NET Developer would also be given the opportunity to lead projects and mentor other employees.

Basic Qualifications:

Predominantly web based software development creating web services implementations (SOAP and REST).

Also perform SQL database (particularly MS SQL Server) operations and XML processing.

Software development using C# and Javascript, typically using the Angular framework, as well as third party libraries and APIs for various services.

Work within a team using Agile processes (Scrum and/or Kanban).

Tooling including Visual Studio (with additional plug-ins), Git, and Jira. Interface with peripherals such as bar code scanners and RF reader/writers.

The senior level .NET Developer must have at least five to seven years of progressively increasing experience with the technologies (may have less with the peripherals).

Citizen as contract requires. 

The candidate must successfully complete a Public Trust background investigation.

Additional (Desired) Qualifications:

Smart card programming experience is highly desired. Experience with automated testing tools would be helpful. Experience with server-side Java programming would also be helpful
