What you'll be doing:
  • Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategic roadmap for leveraging data to drive business success.
  • Lead initiatives to transform the organization into a data-driven culture, promoting data literacy and adoption across all levels.
  • Oversee the delivery of internal analytical products, including self-service and ad-hoc analytics, to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop strategies to optimize the use of customer data, creating a seamless omnichannel customer experience and driving sales and revenue growth.
  • Engage with executives and cross-functional teams to understand and align with their data needs and strategic goals.
  • Stay current with industry trends and implement new technologies, including AI, ML, and Generative AI, to enhance data capabilities.
  • Spend time with customers to identify patterns and trends, driving the design and development of innovative data products.
  • Assist with sprint planning and backlog management to align with business objectives.
  • Act as the primary link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.

What you bring to the table:
  • Solid understanding and experience of data functions and business operations in the following areas: Data Engineering, Data Analytics & Insights, Application and deployment of AI ML products, Operational Excellence, Performance Metrics & KPI's, Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
  • Proven experience in a leadership role focused on data strategy, AI, and ML practices.
  • Hands on experience in developing and leading data and data science organizations across business domains such as Pricing and Profitability.
  • In-depth knowledge of data governance, analytics frameworks, and emerging technologies.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data exploration and BI Tools (e.g. Power BI).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional strategic planning and communication skills.

What's needed- Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • 10+ years in leading data & analytics, machine learning, and AI initiatives, with a track record of successful project delivery.

What's needed- Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous retail and eCommerce industry experience is a plus.
