For this contractor assignment, the IT Quality Assurance Analyst Lead functions as a subject matter expert in the testing discipline where experience, skills and knowledge are wide-ranging and include an in-depth understanding of software testing techniques, practices, policies, and procedures. Plans and organizes testing activities across software development life cycle, considering various methods and techniques to obtain efficient solutions. Influences software and/or systems development decisions by reviewing work and providing recommendations for design or testing approach. Implements recommendations to improve testing approaches, processes, and procedures.

responsibilities:
- Provides testing expertise for complex testing efforts in product or project lifecycles.
- Provides guidance and recommendations for testing products and systems using industry accepted techniques, methodologies, best practices, and standards.
- Provides testing expertise in requirements reviews, design reviews, systems analysis, and testing review discussions.
- Participates in planning and scoping events, and estimates testing effort for larger aggregates of work, typically at release or project level. Evaluates overall testing effort, identifies needed skills, and adjusts testing assignments as needed.
- Defines the test strategy for product and system risk mitigation, organizes testing activities to ensure emphasis on risk, and adjusts as needed based on results or changes.
- Collaborates with and influences stakeholders and product teams to mitigate or resolve issues and defects that impact testing or product quality.
- Collects information about testing effectiveness and efficiency, analyzes defects to support product quality goals, and presents test status and quality of products to stakeholders.
- Advocates for how test automation solutions could benefit overall testing strategy and collaborates with test engineering personnel to implement needed assets.
qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Business or Information Technology discipline or related field of study and minimum 6 years of related work experience analyzing, testing, and implementing business system changes or user acceptance testing.
- In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher and the completion of a technical training program, and a minimum of 6 years related work experience analyzing, testing, and implementing business system changes or user acceptance testing.
- In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher and a minimum of 8 years related work experience analyzing, testing, and implementing business system changes or user acceptance testing.
skills: Required skills:
- Experience serving in a Test Lead capacity on large enterprise projects.
- Knowledge of system integrations.
- Knowledge of common testing methods, testing tools, terminology, and industry practices.
- Create Test Plan in ADO
- Risk Based Testing
- Knowledge of data structures, data management practices, system interaction patterns and interfaces.
- Knowledge of various corporate security rules, legal and regulatory obligations, or standards
- Ability to assess implications of proposed systems changes on the processes and factors related to the insurance business or common business functions (e.g., marketing, sales, and financial controls).
- Analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data from various sources to determine next steps.
- Listening, verbal, and written communications skills with the ability to translate technical information into understandable terms to a variety of audiences.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve goals and accomplish work.
Preferred skills and experiences:
- Worked in Cloud technologies including AWS Lambda, Terraform, and Mongo DB
