Job Details
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a basic understanding of IT infrastructure and how IT components interact via network communications (e.g., Firewall, VIP, F5 Listener, Port).
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a basic understanding of IT infrastructure components, including networks, servers, storage, web, and virtual/cloud environments.
Assist in evaluating technical requirements and propose solutions that meet business objectives while adhering to best practices and industry standards.
Provide oversight, leadership, accountability, and project management for large, complex projects.
Manage projects involving vendor participation, complex schedules, and integration with other systems.
Ensure consistency with State of Michigan project management methodology (SUITE), investment management, and systems engineering standards.
Perform long-term release planning based on organizational goals.
Monitor project budget, quality, and schedule, and escalate issues or risks to executives as needed.
Exercise quality control to ensure project scope expectations are met.
Qualifications:
Proven experience managing large-scale projects (6+ months in duration, 20+ team members, medium-to-high risk).
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Familiarity with IT infrastructure and enterprise systems integration.
Experience with vendor management and stakeholder engagement.
Ability to follow structured project management methodologies.
