Job Details

Job Title: Helpdesk Support Analyst (CCSA Certified) Location: Vacaville, CA
Duration: 6 Months Description: We are seeking a technically skilled and security-conscious Helpdesk Support Analyst with a Checkpoint Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) certification to join our support team. This role bridges the gap between traditional helpdesk support and security-focused troubleshooting, especially in environments using Check Point technologies.
The analyst will provide Tier 1 and 2 support while also assisting in the monitoring and upkeep of firewalls, and endpoint protection systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Checkpoint Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) certification Required.
  • 2 4 years of experience in a helpdesk, desktop support, or IT operations environment.
  • 1+ years of experience supporting or troubleshooting firewalls (Check Point).
  • Familiarity with protocol analysis, access control, and intrusion protection concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Office 365, and basic networking.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with firewall management tools or similar platforms.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, Security+, or ITIL Foundations are a plus.
  • Experience in utility, energy, or infrastructure-based environments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an on-call or rotating support team if required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily user support for systems, applications, hardware, and network connectivity issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to firewall access, endpoint protection, and access control.
  • Support, configure, and maintain Check Point firewall systems under guidance from senior engineers.
  • Perform basic analysis of logs and alerts to assist in incident resolution and escalation.
  • Follow IT and security processes, documentation standards, and ticketing protocols (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Assist with annual firewall policy reviews, change requests, and asset documentation.
  • Partner with infrastructure and security teams to ensure communication and security implementations align with company standards.
  • Stay informed on evolving network security practices and assist in their implementation where applicable.
