Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Ab Initio Developer with strong expertise in Python and PySpark to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing data integration and ETL solutions using Ab Initio, while also leveraging Python and PySpark for data transformation, performance optimization, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable ETL solutions using Ab Initio (Graph, Express>It, Control Center, etc.).
- Develop data pipelines and transformation logic using Python and PySpark for large-scale data processing.
- Work with structured and unstructured datasets, ensuring data quality, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and other engineering teams to integrate data solutions.
- Optimize existing ETL workflows and improve overall system performance.
- Perform root cause analysis on data and process issues and recommend solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 8 years of hands-on experience as an Ab Initio Developer.
- Strong proficiency in Python and PySpark for data engineering tasks.
- Experience in ETL, data warehousing, and data integration concepts.
- Solid understanding of SQL and working with RDBMS (Teradata, Oracle, Snowflake, etc.).
- Knowledge of data lake, big data ecosystems, and distributed computing frameworks.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux scripting and scheduling tools (Autosys, Control-M, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance-tuning skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform) for data migration or integration.
- Exposure to data governance and metadata management tools.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and version control (Git, Jenkins).
