Role Title: ,NET Developer
Role TItle: .Net Application Developer
Key Responsibilities
Application Development & Integration
- Design, develop, test, and deploy .NET applications and microservices using C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core/Framework.
- Architect and implement distributed solutions leveraging Microsoft Service Fabric for scalability and reliability.
- Integrate the Medicaid application with Micro Focus PPM for project and portfolio management, including data exchange and workflow automation.
- Develop and maintain integration with OnBase for document management, including document storage, retrieval, and workflow processes.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs and web services for seamless system interoperability.
- Ensure code quality through rigorous unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
Agile Collaboration
- Participate fully in SAFe Agile ceremonies: PI planning, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA engineers, and other developers to refine user stories and deliver high-value increments.
- Contribute to technical design, estimation, and architectural discussions.
Medicaid Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all solutions comply with Texas Medicaid, HIPAA, and other relevant healthcare regulations.
- Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, integration guides, and support materials.
- Support audit, compliance, and security initiatives as required.
Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide production support, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to application functionality, integrations, and performance.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with Service Fabric clusters, Micro Focus PPM connectivity, and OnBase workflows.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with .NET, Service Fabric, Micro Focus PPM, OnBase, and Medicaid technology trends.
- Recommend and implement improvements to development processes, tools, and integration patterns.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- .NET Development: 3+ years of experience with C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core/Framework, and RESTful API development.
- Service Fabric: Demonstrated experience developing, deploying, and supporting applications on Microsoft Service Fabric.
- Micro Focus PPM Integration: Experience integrating .NET applications with Micro Focus Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) or similar platforms.
- OnBase Integration: Experience integrating .NET applications with OnBase document management systems (APIs, workflow automation, etc.).
- Medicaid/Healthcare IT: Solid understanding of Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS), claims processing, provider management, Long Term Care or related healthcare IT systems.
- Web Technologies: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (Angular/React preferred).
- Database Skills: Strong knowledge of SQL Server or other relational databases.
- Version Control: Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Testing: Experience with unit testing frameworks (MSTest, NUnit, xUnit).
- Agile Experience: Practical experience in Agile teams; SAFe Agile experience strongly preferred.
- Austin Location: Strong preference in Austin, TX and the ability to work closely with teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft, SAFe, Scrum, Service Fabric, Micro Focus PPM, OnBase).
- Front-End Technologies: Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for Medicaid web applications.
- Cloud & Database: Knowledge of database systems, cloud computing platforms (Azure/AWS), and advanced SQL.
- Version Control: Familiarity with software version control systems (e.g., Git, Team Foundation).
- Security: Understanding security best practices in software development, especially Medicaid data.
- Agile/SAFe: Experience with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe development methodologies, ideally on Austin-based Medicaid projects
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG).
- Experience with reporting tools (SSRS, Power BI).
- Experience in state government or large-scale healthcare IT projects.
