Position Overview

The Marketing Data Engineer will be an integral member of the marketing team focused on transforming how customer and sales experiences are shaped through effective data analysis.

This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in Salesforce ecosystems (specifically Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud) and a proven ability to design, build, and maintain robust data workflows in Alteryx.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Collaborate with Marketing teams to define audience segmentation, targeting strategies, customer journeys, and overall campaign measurement plans.
  • Design and execute audience models using Salesforce Data Cloud, effectively blending first, second, and third-party data to deliver personalized experiences across multiple channels.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data workflows in Alteryx, ensuring data quality and performance throughout marketing pipelines.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for data activation within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, enabling omni-channel campaigns with precise audience delivery.
  • Translate business goals into data architecture requirements, building repeatable processes and reusable components for marketing activation and reporting.
  • Conduct end-to-end testing of segmentation logic and campaign deployment data for accuracy and compliance.
  • Enable CRM integrated marketing and sales experiences by supporting lead management, customer journey data flows, and reporting within Salesforce.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation and adhere to data governance standards, including privacy, consent, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:
 
  • 5 years of experience in a data engineering or marketing analytics role with significant exposure to marketing technology platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency with Alteryx in a marketing environment.
  • Hands-on expertise with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Data Cloud, and CRM integration strategies.
  • Familiarity with SQL-based environments (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Oracle, or MS SQL).
  • Proven ability to manage complex data pipelines supporting marketing segmentation and analytics.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data concepts for marketing and business stakeholders.
