Role: Network Engineer with Motorola Radio Experience

Location Onsite: Plano, Texas

Travel Required: 50%+ to US based plants.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Motorola Capacity Max Radio Engineer to lead and support the integration and operation of our Motorola radio systems. The ideal

candidate will possess deep technical expertise in radio systems, particularly Motorola Capacity Max, and strong experience in TCP/IP networking, systems integration, and

cross-functional collaboration. This role is essential to ensuring our radio infrastructure is robust, well-integrated with our broader IT environment, and aligned with business needs

.

Key Responsibilities:

Radio Network Integration:

Design, configure, and support Motorola Capacity Max radio systems with a strong emphasis on TCP/IP network integration, including routers, switches, and IP-based

system elements.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

Serve as the primary interface with LAN, server, and Operations teams to ensure seamless integration and operational support.

Technical Project Management:

Drive end-to-end technical project execution from requirement gathering through implementation ensuring timely and quality deliverables.

Vendor Collaboration:

Work closely with our radio vendor (Motorola or other) to troubleshoot, implement, and optimize system performance and features.

Documentation & Drawings:

Maintain and regularly update technical documentation, network diagrams, configuration templates, and project records.

Stakeholder Interface:

Engage with business units to gather functional requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications and project scopes.

Meetings & Task Management:

Lead and participate in technical meetings, track action items, manage timelines, and ensure follow-up and closure on all assigned tasks.

System Monitoring & Support:

Provide ongoing support for radio infrastructure, monitor performance, and assist in system upgrades and patch management as needed.

Required:

3+ years of experience in radio systems engineering, including Motorola Capacity Max.

Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, and IP-based communications.

Demonstrated experience in network integration and cross-system troubleshooting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interfacing with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Proficiency in documentation tools (Visio, Confluence, etc.) and diagramming standards.

Solid project management and task coordination capabilities.

Preferred:

Motorola certifications or relevant vendor training.

Experience working with enterprise LAN/WAN and Windows/Linux server environments.

Familiarity with ITIL or change management processes.

Understanding of cybersecurity principles in radio communications environments.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.

Proactive and self-driven with a sense of ownership and accountability.

Skilled at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
