Job Ttile: Sr. Developer - Microsoft Purview & Power BI
Job Location : New York, NY
Duration: Long Term Contract
Responsibilities:
The Sr. Developer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our client's data governance framework to ensure the integrity, quality, security, risk management, compliance management and privacy of data across the enterprise.
The key responsibilities of this role are:
- Cross-functional teams and business users to define data policies, standards, and procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Gather requirements for data governance, security, risk and compliance management and create requirement gathering document.
- Create Governance, security , risk and compliance management policies in Microsoft Purview
- Assist co-developers in creating policies in Microsoft Purview.
- Ensure to adhere to timelines.
- Create functional and technical documentation.
- Perform build, test and handle deployment to production.
- Work closely with business units, IT, and analytics teams to align data governance initiatives with organizational goals.
- The Sr. Developer should work with BUsiness stake holders to identify reporting needs to create an Audit report.
- Should identify KPIs and design wireframes as per the need
- Should gather requirements for KPIs and define derivations to derive these KPIs
- Should create visually captivating dashboards as per the company standards.
- Should create meaning ful reports showcasing the right KPIs and metrics in right places with proper filters, cards and other features from power BI.
Technical Skills:
- Must have: Microsoft Purview & Power BI
- Should have experience or expertise in creating Unified catalog in Microsoft Purview
- Should have experience or expertise with classification: Sensitive Info types, EDM Classifier, Trainable Classifier, Finger print SIT
- Should have experience or expertise with Information protection module in Microsoft Purview: Designing Label Policies and Publish labels, Create labels and publish label policies.
- Should have experience or expertise with Data Loss Prevention in Microsoft Purview: Create policies, and rules for sharing or restricting data through emails, SharePoint, OneDrive, on-premises repositories, instances, teams chat and other channel messages, Fabric and Power BI workspaces.
- Should have experience or expertise or knowledge on Information barriers in Microsoft Purview: Creating segments, and segment policies in micro soft purview
- Should have experience or expertise or knowledge on Communication Compliance in Microsoft Purview: Detect Inappropriate content, Detect Inappropriate content text, Detect Inappropriate images, Detect sensitive info types, Detect financial regulatory Compliance, Detect conflict of interest.
- Should have experience or expertise in using Compliance manager: Create Assessments, Check Compliance score, Implement improvement actions with cross functional team.
- Should have experience or expertise in creating retention labels and applying them using: Records management, and Data Lifecycle management.
- Should have experience or expertise in creating Insider RIsk Management policies: Data leaks Policy, Data theft policy, Device Onboarding, HR Connector, Data theft policy by departing users, Data leaks by priority users, data leaks by risky users, Configuring Physical badging connector
- Should have experience or expertise on Audit, Compliance alerts, Data map, settings and workflows
- Good understanding of : eDiscovery, DSPM (Data Security Posture Management , DSPM by AI
- Should be able to extract details from Microsoft Purview and generate reports
- Should have extensive experience or extensive knowledge and willing to connect to different data sources to microsoft purview, these sources include the once that are not directly supported by Microsoft purview, and need API.
