**Hybrid - 2 days a week onsite in Chevy Chase, MD.**

Our banking client is looking for a Senior Information Security Engineer to join their team.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Salary: $150,000 - $180,000/year + benefits

Responsibilities of the Senior Information Security Engineer:
  • Spearhead SIEM operations, particularly with Rapid7 InsightIDR, to enhance threat detection and incident response capabilities
  • Implement and manage cloud security measures using AWS Guard Duty, AWS Security Lake, aligning with security best practices
  • Lead and support Red Team and Blue Team activities to bolster the organization's cybersecurity defenses
  • Design and maintain secure systems, networks, and applications, safeguarding against cyber threats
  • Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to proactively secure the organization
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to embed security within development and operational processes
Requirements for the Senior Information Security Engineer:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field and at least 4 years of experience in Information Security
  • Specific expertise in SIEM, cloud security, and Red Team/Blue Team activities
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating Red Team and Blue Team exercises
  • Experience in conducting thorough penetration tests and ethical hacking to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities
  • Experience in Rapid7 InsightIDR
  • Skilled in utilizing AWS Guard Duty, AWS Security Lake, and other cloud security tools
  • Advanced proficiency in managing SIEM solutions
  • Comprehensive knowledge in designing and implementing secure network architectures, systems, and applications
  • Familiarity with CIS Benchmarks, NIST SP 800-53, FFIEC Booklets
