Story Behind the Need



  • Team is responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining Optum applications across all non-production and production environments.
  • Small team, everybody works remotely
  • No upcoming hiring. This is covering for a FTE who is on extended leave for a minimum of 10 months.

responsibilities:

Typical Day in the Role



  • Collaborate extensively with the Optum vendor to implement, configure, and maintain Optum applications.
  • Review log files and communicate findings to the vendor when necessary to identify issues.
  • Coordinate with the claims adjudication system team to troubleshoot incoming and outgoing claims.
  • Upgrade servers and applications in accordance with vendor requirements.
  • Partner with internal infrastructure teams and vendors to resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, optimization, security, backup, recovery, and upgrades of all servers.
  • Participate in planning, scheduling, and implementing updates released by the vendor.
  • Monitor system resources, review event viewer logs, manage disk usage, and schedule backups and restores.
  • Collaborate with customers to design workflows, analyze processes, and recommend improvements.
  • Address tickets related to daily activities and issues concerning claims processing, end-user roles, and access.
  • Monitor, maintain, and manages information technology security programs, servers' health and hardware and software activities.





qualifications:

Candidate Requirements



  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in a related field Preferred: Master's degree in a related field
  • Years of experience required: 3+ years of experience in related business analysis. Need someone with knowledge and experience in claims editing, pricing, and grouping using vendor applications.
  • Disqualifiers: lack of relevant experience, poor communication
  • Additional qualities to look for:
  • Experience with health care claims processing applications.
  • Knowledge of claims editing, pricing and grouping using vendor applications
  • Experience with OPTUM Products
  • AIX knowledge is preferable to troubleshoot on upstream and downstream systems
  • Site Reliability Engineering knowledge is a plus
