Job Description:

Overview:
We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer (TAE) to join our squad and contribute to building standardized automation frameworks across applications (ETL, API, backend, frontend, etc.). This is a strategic initiative to scale test coverage consistently across teams, modernize our tech stack, and deliver significant business value. You will collaborate with the Test Automation Working Group, write and maintain test automation code, and practice testing in both manual and automated fashions.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in test practices including manual testing, test automation, incident management, and defect management.
  • Design, develop, and maintain manual and automated tests aligned with organizational and domain-level specifications.
  • Write, review, and maintain automation code within standardized frameworks for squad applications.
  • Contribute to internal testing guidelines, standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement effective test solutions.
  • Build domain and technical expertise in squad-specific systems and business processes.
  • Support release processes and ensure quality delivery.

Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of test design techniques to ensure data quality.
  • Experience testing web-based applications and/or ETL technologies.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Java (pytest experience preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with version control (e.g., Git).
  • Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience developing scripts to automate test execution.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum preferred).
  • Proficiency in Windows environments.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Passion for quality, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, agile environment.
