We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold tilt-rotor.

This position is onsite in Fort Worth, Texas.

Engineering Technician - Instrumentation Lab

Bell is seeking an Engineering Technician to join the engineering team in the instrumentation lab. Bring your experience and ideas to perform precision applications of strain gages from detailed instructions. You will also setup, operate, and maintain specialized instrumentation data acquisition systems.

What you'll be doing as an Engineering Technician

  • Work independently from drawings and procedures to install and wire strain gages
  • Work independently from drawings to fabricate electronic circuits and wiring harness assemblies
  • Operate basic test equipment including, DMM, oscilloscope, and function generator
  • Properly handle and safeguard critical test components

Qualifications - External

Skills You Bring To this Role

  • Knowledge of strain gage types and their applications
  • Must be certified or otherwise demonstrate excellent solder skills
  • Experience reading engineering drawings, transducer installation and calibration, and DC circuit troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment with customers and with other functional disciplines
  • Travel, shift work, and overtime may be required based on business needs
  • Able to lift 50 pounds and work on scaffolding ( aircraft parts in the lab)
  • Has own set of hand tools

What You Need To Be Successful

  • At least 2 years of experience applying strain gages and/or similar electronic sensors
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-year Associates technical degree with emphasis on electronics, preferred
