Job title: Data Analyst (Enterprise Architecture (EA) Support) / TOGAF
Location: Remote Duration: 3/31/2026 with potential extension
The Enterprise Architecture (EA) Data Analyst supports the ongoing development, quality, and usability of the Enterprise Architecture Repository, currently implemented in ServiceNow. This role is responsible for curating architecture metadata, ensuring data quality and consistency, and enabling insights that support architecture governance, planning, and decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data analysis and governance, with a keen interest in enterprise architecture practices and tooling.
Responsibilities
- Curate, maintain, and improve metadata within the Enterprise Architecture Repository (ServiceNow EA), ensuring alignment with architecture frameworks, taxonomies, and governance standards.
- Partner with Enterprise Architects and stakeholders to collect, validate, and structure data related to applications, technologies, capabilities, and business processes.
- Support the Architecture Practice Manager with data management and metrics related to our architecture practices.
- Conduct regular data quality reviews and implement controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of architecture data.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide insights into architecture health, technology lifecycle, and strategic alignment.
- Support the implementation and administration of ServiceNow EA modules, including data model configuration, data imports, and user enablement.
- Collaborate with architecture and IT governance teams to define and enforce metadata standards, naming conventions, and stewardship responsibilities.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of architecture data management.
- Provide training and support to architects and contributors on repository usage, data entry standards, and reporting capabilities.
- Stay current on ServiceNow EA capabilities and industry best practices in architecture data management.
- Conduct interviews and facilitate surveys with application owners and support teams to gather architecture metadata.
- Design and implement repeatable methods for collecting and validating application and technology data.
- Develop and manage data imports and exports between ServiceNow EA and other systems (e.g., Excel, Access).
- Review existing architecture data and reports to identify and resolve data quality issues.
- Follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate data collection and updates.
- Ability to quickly surface enhanced data for consumption.
- Ability to manage and capture ad hoc and formal data and add to repositories.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data governance, or information management.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture concepts, frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), or tools.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with ServiceNow, especially the Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) or Enterprise Architecture modules.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with structured data sets.
- Ability to work with Prime tools:
- Microsoft Suite: Access, Excel, & Visio
- Visualization & Reporting: Power BI
- Collaboration and distribution using SharePoint & Teams
- Automation tools: Power Automate, PowerShell, and .NET libraries
- SQL Server
- Ability to translate technical data into business-relevant insights.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience with metadata management, data stewardship, or architecture modeling tools (e.g., LeanIX, ADOIT, Sparx EA).
- 5+ years of experience in business or data analysis, preferably supporting internal IT or architecture initiatives.
- Experience working on IT-led projects where IT is both the customer and executor.
