Job Details

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with strong expertise in RISE with SAP – Private Cloud Edition (PCE) and S/4HANA upgrade and migration projects. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in custom code remediation, ABAP on HANA, and system upgrades within SAP RISE PCE environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support SAP RISE Private Cloud upgrade projects (ECC → S/4HANA or S/4HANA upgrades)

  • Perform custom code analysis and remediation using SPAU/SPAU_ENH, SPDD, and Simplification Item Catalog

  • Optimize and adapt ABAP programs for ABAP on HANA

  • Handle S/4HANA compatibility checks using Custom Code Migration (SPAU/SPAU_ENH, SPDD, CVI)

  • Work on code remediation, refactoring, and performance tuning post-upgrade

  • Develop and enhance Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms (RICEF)

  • Experience with OData services, CDS Views, AMDP, and BAPIs

  • Collaborate with Basis and Functional teams during RISE PCE upgrade cycles

  • Support unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and production cutover

  • Ensure compliance with SAP Clean Core principles

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of strong SAP ABAP development experience

  • Hands-on experience with RISE with SAP – Private Cloud Edition

  • Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA upgrades and migrations

  • Expertise in ABAP on HANA

  • Proven experience in SPAU, SPDD, CVI, and custom code adaptation

  • Experience with SUM/DMO upgrade support activities

  • Knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM or Solution Manager

  • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills

Preferred / Nice to Have:

  • Experience with ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)

  • Exposure to SAP BTP integrations

  • SAP ABAP or S/4HANA Certification

  • Experience following SAP Activate methodology

  • Knowledge of Fiori/UI5 adaptations
