Job Details
We are seeking a highly experienced AS400 Synon Senior Developer with deep expertise in CA/2E (Synon), COBOL (AS400/ILE), DB2400, and core PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Management) functions. This senior-level role demands hands-on development skills, strong functional understanding, and leadership capabilities in an onshore/offshore delivery model.
You will collaborate closely with business, capability, and technology teams to analyze requirements, build robust solutions, optimize systems, and drive continuous improvement.

- Medicare Part D pricing
- Benefit plan design
- Patient pay processes
- Regulatory compliance
- 15+ years of hands-on Synon (CA/2E) development: arrays, commit control, program design
- 8+ years of COBOL AS400 / COBOL ILE development
- Strong experience in working with PBM systems
- Exposure to ACMS/MOM and DB2400 database environment
Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyze and understand detailed functional and technical requirements
- Collaborate with business and capability teams to refine and finalize specifications
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on development
- Develop efficient, scalable, and high-performing AS400/Synon solutions
- Identify system optimization and performance improvement opportunities
- Work within Agile/Scrum processes
- Lead and mentor team members across an onshore/offshore model
- Participate in continuous integration and development practices
- Coordinate with clients for requirement clarifications and solution discussions
- Contribute to the functional and technical technology roadmap of the team
