Title: Azure AD Consultant
Location: Charlotte, NC (Remote)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Azure Active Directory (AD) Consultant to support M&A (Merger and Acquisition) initiatives with a focus on Active Directory integration, identity consolidation, and secure transitions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in both On-Prem and Azure AD environments, strong project management skills, and experience navigating complex identity landscapes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement processes to support M&A transitions.
Conduct comprehensive inventory and assessment of On-Prem and Azure environments of acquired entities.
Analyze identity infrastructure, including GPOs, OU structure, and permission delegation.
Deploy necessary agents (e.g., MDI, MS Password Protection, Tanium) as required.
Manage bulk identity creation, user and group migrations, and directory consolidations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate identity services across organizations.
Assess and mitigate risks related to On-Prem AD and Azure AD during transitions.
Utilize Azure AD capabilities including Conditional Access, Identity Protection, PIM, and Azure AD Connect.
Lead tenant-to-tenant migrations, identity federation, and cross-tenant collaboration efforts.
Manage DNS records (MX, TXT, A, PTR) within Azure as needed.
Create, maintain, and optimize technical documentation and M&A playbooks.
Oversee project timelines, resources, and deliverables, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
Essential Skills:
5+ years of experience in Active Directory design, architecture, and administration.
Hands-on experience with On-Prem to Azure AD migrations and M&A projects.
Microsoft certifications (MCSE, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent).
Strong understanding of AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, and related technologies.
Expertise in Azure AD identity management, Conditional Access, and synchronization.
Proficiency in PowerShell for automation and scripting tasks.
Demonstrated ability to lead migration and integration projects with minimal disruption.
Experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and documentation of AD environments.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with hybrid identity setups and Microsoft 365/Intune integration.
Familiarity with third-party migration tools and methodologies.
Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
Passion for continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies.
