Job Title: Senior Project Manager Enterprise PMO

Location: Cranston, RI

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Summary:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing end-to-end Problem Management within a large-scale IT environment, focusing on defect prioritization, resolution, and system enhancements. This role ensures alignment between business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to drive timely issue resolution while adhering to software development lifecycle (SDLC) standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with expertise in ITIL practices, incident management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead defect prioritization through impact assessments, from incident triage to resolution.
  • Monitor and categorize incoming system defects, aligning them with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to prioritize defects and coordinate resolution with development teams.
  • Evaluate proposed technical solutions to ensure compliance with business requirements and SDLC standards.
  • Develop and manage work plans, timelines, and deliverables related to SDLC processes.
  • Enforce governance standards and best practices across project teams.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for issue resolution between business units and IT teams.
  • Analyze incident/defect metrics to identify process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Design dashboards and reporting tools to support business prioritization and release planning.
  • Deliver clear and concise project status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Drive strategic initiatives focused on incident and problem management optimization.
  • Support Enterprise PMO activities, including deliverables tracking, issue management, and reporting.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8 10 years as a Senior Project Manager, with a proven track record in complex IT projects.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
    • Strong knowledge of ITIL practices (incident, problem, change management).
    • Expertise in JIRA, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools.
  • Leadership: Ability to build partnerships with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Experience in metrics analysis, process improvement, and risk management.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication for executive-level reporting.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with Health and Human Services systems (e.g., Medicaid, SNAP, TANF).
    • Familiarity with government or large-scale enterprise IT environments.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • PMP certification (preferred but not required).
