Role - Network Operation Support (Network Cabling Technician)
Boise, ID (Onsite)
Job Description -
1.Design and Installation: Assemble and arrange materials and equipment for network cabling Run, pull, stop, and splice copper and Fiber optic cables (e.g., CAT5, CAT, low voltage cables). Mount telecom equipment while adhering to best practices, industry standards, and manufacturer requirements Install access control systems and surveillance cameras.
2. Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting Assist in developing and maintaining network communications Test and assess LAN/WAN systems to eliminate problems and make improvements Troubleshoot networks and server infrastructure Handle backup and restoring processes for critical systems.
3. Support and Communication: Provide test equipment for testing new and suspected faulty cable connections Measure and replace identified faulty Fiber cables Collaborate with other teams within the organization to arrange routers, hubs, and switches Maintain good relations with clients by addressing their issues or escalating them as needed.
4. Core responsibilities include installing networking devices in racks, running jumpers to various devices, and troubleshooting Fiber optics. Can also help with infrastructure tasks such as building out rooms, assembling and installing racks, and setting up cable trays , including prefab work like cutting, grinding, and preparing trays for installation
