Job Details

DirectClient: State of Texas
Title: Lead DevOps/OpenShift Architect
Location: Austin, Texas
Duration: 6+ months with possible extension

Important Note: The working position will be remote with occasional onsite for meetings and onsite assignments.

Responsibilities:
1. Platform Design Document: Detailed architecture for the OpenShift platform and supporting services.
2. Implemented OpenShift Cluster: A production-ready, secure, and scalable OpenShift environment.
3. CI/CD Pipeline Implementations: Fully automated pipelines for at least 2-3 representative client applications.
4. Infrastructure as Code Repository: A version-controlled repository (e.g., GitLab) containing all Terraform and Ansible code for environment provisioning.
5. Application Templating Repository: A repository of Helm Charts or OpenShift Templates for standardized deployments.
6. Knowledge Transfer Plan & Schedule: A detailed plan outlining training sessions and mentorship activities.
7. Operational Runbooks & Documentation: Comprehensive documentation for the Client's team to operate, support, and troubleshoot the new platform.
8. Final Project Report & Roadmap: A summary of achievements, lessons learned, and recommendations for future phases.

Requirements:(Lead DevOps/OpenShift Architect - 1 position)
5 - 7+ years in DevOps and infrastructure architecture.
Expert in designing and implementing Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms in production.
Deep expertise in IaC (Terraform, Ansible). - Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python).
Experience with cloud providers (VMware, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
