Job Details

We are seeking a Senior Technology Business Manager to oversee all aspects of Technology financial planning and vendor lifecycle management, including budgeting, accruals, contract execution, and invoice oversight. This role partners closely with Finance and serves as a trusted advisor to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), acting as a strategic business partner to drive initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness, guide investment strategy, and strengthen senior stakeholder engagement across the firm.

This is a high-impact role with direct exposure to senior leadership, offering the opportunity to influence investment decisions and shape how Technology delivers value across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Finance Management

  • Own the end-to-end Technology budgeting process, including annual planning and quarterly reforecasting
  • Govern and execute Technology spend approvals
  • Manage monthly accruals and ensure accurate financial close processes
  • Oversee invoice validation and reconciliation against contracts and budgets
  • Partner with Finance on accounting treatment and financial reporting
  • Track and categorize Technology spend across projects, vendors, and cost centers

Spend Reporting & Analytics

  • Link financial data to underlying Technology initiatives to provide actionable insights
  • Perform variance analysis and trend reporting across actuals, forecasts, and budgets
  • Develop executive-level presentations to inform strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with Technology leads to support business cases and investment decisions

Vendor & Contract Oversight

  • Lead onboarding and compliance processes for new Technology vendors
  • Partner with Legal and Technology owners to review and validate contract terms
  • Conduct pricing and cost benchmarking for vendor proposals
  • Manage contract calendars, renewals, and renegotiations
  • Negotiate vendor contracts with a focus on cost optimization and value realization

Management & Strategic Initiatives

  • Manage and develop a small team supporting Technology business management
  • Leverage tools and systems to automate financial workflows and reporting
  • Provide data-driven insights to enhance transparency with senior stakeholders
  • Support audit, tax, and cross-functional requests related to Technology spend
  • Partner with the CTO on departmental initiatives, staffing strategies, and executive communications

Qualifications

  • 7 10+ years of experience in Technology Finance, Vendor Management, or Business Operations
  • Proven success managing complex financial workflows and driving process improvements
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and intermediate-to-advanced PowerPoint
  • Experience with cloud billing platforms (e.g., Azure Cost Management)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Workday) and planning tools (e.g., Anaplan)
  • Experience with procure-to-pay (P2P) systems (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, Opstream)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
