Job Details

Position Title: OTA System Engineer
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity for an OTA System Engineer with our client in Redmond, WA.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute and oversee satellite over-the-air (OTA) update operations across the constellation and ground test venues
  • Implement and maintain deployment schedules for satellite software updates
  • Monitor satellite health metrics during software deployments
  • Perform pre and post-deployment health checks and validation procedures
  • Execute recovery procedures when deployment issues arise
  • Coordinate real-time with launch operations teams for satellite configuration
  • Manage parallel update operations while monitoring thermal and power constraints
  • Maintain and follow operational procedures for satellite software deployments
  • Conduct operational risk assessments for deployment plans
  • Perform acceptance testing for satellite software updates

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on operational experience in systems engineering
  • 3+ years experience with Linux-based systems operations
  • Strong background in aerospace, satellite or spacecraft operations
  • Experience with deployment operations and scheduling
  • Practical knowledge of satellite health monitoring and telemetry systems
  • Experience in operational validation procedures

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with satellite OTA operations
  • Practical experience with spacecraft thermal and power management
  • Experience in mission operations and scheduling
  • Hands-on experience with satellite commanding and telemetry systems

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract
  • Location: Redmond, WA .
  • Pay Range: $60 - $80/hr.
