Location: Vancouver, WA (Onsite)
Duration: 12-month Contract (with possible extensions up to 5 years)
Pay Range: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
Coordinate and expedite the flow of work, materials and/or equipment within or between departments of an organization according to project or production schedules. Duties include reviewing and distributing project, work, and other schedules; conferring with organization managers, project managers or team leads to determine progress of work and projected completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and any timeline or scheduling problems.
Position Responsibilities:
- Examine documents, materials, or equipment and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
- Review documents, such as project schedules, work orders, or action plans, to determine equipment or materials requirements and/or equipment or material priorities.
- Confer with organization managers, project managers, team leads or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
- Revise project schedules or actions plans when required due to design changes, labor or material/equipment shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with project managers, field personnel or engineering staff.
- Requisition and maintain inventory records of materials, equipment or supplies necessary to meet project timelines and/or maintenance requirements.
- Calculate figures, such as required amounts of materials or equipment, compile information, such as materials or equipment inventories, materials used, equipment/parts removed/replaced, so that status reports can be prepared and submitted to appropriate individuals.
- Provide customer services including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
Position Requirements:
Education & Corresponding Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, supply and logistics management, construction management or engineering or a closely-related technical field is desired.
- This is a Level 2 position: 5 years of engineering operations experience, supporting construction logistics and engineering operations or a related field is required.
- The technical experience must be consistent with the specific requirements of engineering operations and progressively more technical in nature.
- Must possess broad knowledge of engineering operations policies and procedures involving material and equipment inventory and control.
- Knowledge of and experience with processes, automated records and control systems for acquisitions, accountability, control and disposal of facilities, equipment, materials, supplies, and other resources.
- Experience with Oracle based Enterprise Resource Planning software.
- Experience with Excel Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
- Working knowledge of SharePoint, sufficient to enter and retrieve data.
- Extremely detailed oriented and capable of working independently in support of multiple complex projects.
- Able to identify problems and articulate them to leadership in a manner that is easily understandable and timely.
- Possess oral communication skills that allow for the conveyance of technical advice and information to clients and coworkers who have varying degrees of understanding of the subject matter.
- Comfortable working from a given set of rules, guides or processes.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills. Display calm and customer-oriented attitude in fast-paced and sometimes stressful conditions.
- Possess a high level of organizational abilities, multi-tasking skills and be detail-oriented.
- Able to manage support to assigned projects, and given a set of guides, able to formulate and provide advice to clients to achieve desires outcomes.
