We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining stable development, test, reporting, and production database environments, with a focus on performance tuning, disaster recovery, and operational support in a 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances (2016 & 2022)
  • Implement and monitor standby solutions using log shipping and SQL replication
  • Perform daily database administration, capacity planning, performance tuning, and backup/recovery strategy implementation
  • Assist with SQL Server clustering and replication
  • Develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, functions, and SQL scripts
  • Analyze and optimize SQL transactions, indices, and statistics
  • Create and maintain SSIS/DTS packages for ETL operations
  • Provide on-call support for database systems and ensure high availability in a production environment
  • Collaborate with developers to write and optimize efficient SQL queries
  • Prepare and execute disaster recovery plans, coordinating with the DR team
  • Support reporting needs through SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Required Qualifications:
  • 5-10+ years of SQL Server DBA experience, expert level
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft SQL Server 2016 & 2022 administration and operations
  • Experience with SQL scripting, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and transaction analysis
  • Thorough understanding of indices and statistics
  • Experience with Microsoft replication is required
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server clustering is a big plus
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 & 2022 Reporting Services
  • Strong optimization, database sizing, capacity planning, backup & recovery skills
  • Experience with SQL tuning and performance monitoring
  • Able to create and maintain DTS & SSIS packages for transforming data from various other sources to SQL
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, network connectivity, and interoperability in multi-platform environments
  • Proven production support background of application databases in a 24x7 environment
  • Verbal and written communication, time management, organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills required
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field from an accredited institution required

    • 8 - 10+ years in SQL Server DBA experience, expert level

    • Must be local to the Miramar, FL area - LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY
  • Type:
    • Full-time Permanent Direct Hire (W2)
    • Hybrid (On-Site Mon through Thurs / Remote on Fridays)

  • Salary Range:
    • $85,000 - $95,000 annually (based on experience)
    • No Bonus
