General Purpose of the Job
The Sr. ID works collaboratively with business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), key stakeholders, program owners, and other learning professionals8. They leverage instructional design techniques to author in-person, virtual, and eLearning content, using their expertise to create original content9. This position also provides consultation on adult learning best practices and mentors junior designers in content design and development10.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The essential functions and responsibilities, in order of significance, include11:

Develops medium to high complexity learning experiences (ex: instructor-led training sessions (ILT & VILT), eLearning, performance support, video etc.) to address required capability gaps. 13

Provide consultation to Village learning teams on best practices for creating learning experiences and leveraging common standards & templates. 14

Education, Experience, & Qualifications

Bachelor s Degree or a combination of education and/or progressively responsible work experience in a related area may be substituted in lieu of a degree on a year-for-year basis171717.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and ADA
Work Environment: Level III Moderate noise (e.g., business office with computers or printers, light traffic). No required tasks involve greater exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues than would be encountered by a visitor26.
Language Skills: Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to successfully perform the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position27.
Physical Demand: Ability to lift a minimum of 5 lbs to a maximum of 50 lbs unassisted and able to stand, sit, stoop, walk, stretch, reach, and use a full range of body motions28. Manual dexterity as required for specific equipment and ability to use computer keyboard and peripherals29.
Visual Requirements: Vision adequate to perform the essential duties/responsibilities of the position30.
