Network / System Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network / System Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Help with development efforts of an internal tool that is vital to running a large middleware and devops estate
• Design and deliver elegant solutions based upon requirements from key stakeholders
• Create and maintain documentation to help others understand and leverage the solutions being developed
• Design and develop database structures to meet business needs.
• Participate in front end development efforts to help with added velocity as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Information Technology professional with 1-2 years of experience
• Knowledge of python, shell, and Perl scripting
• Knowledge of front-end UI development technologies used to deliver Single Page Applications (SPAs)
• Django, Angular Framework knowledge
• Working knowledge of testing methodologies and integrations
• Ability to integrate with REST API services, including Jira API integrations
• Operating System: Linux
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to learn
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to a dynamic work environment
• DevOps experience
• Ability to track and report on progress

Pay range: $63.68 - $71.68
