Genesis10 is currently seeking a Specialty Software Engineer - Python/Google Cloud Platform Migration with our client in the financial Industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) migration initiatives including design, development, deployment, and support of cloud-native solutions
- Develop, implement, and optimize ETL pipelines using Python, Apache Spark, and Hadoop technologies
- Collaborate on the modernization of legacy systems, particularly those involving Teradata and big data platforms
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices and organizational security/compliance standards
- Engage with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to drive sprint-based deliverables and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of application development and implementation experience using Python and Hadoop
- 3+ years of Google Cloud Platform migration project leadership experience
- 3+ years of experience in building, deploying, and securing Google Cloud Platform applications
- 3+ years of experience with cloud-native solutioning and implementation
- 2+ years of hands-on Agile development experience
- 10+ years of experience delivering complex, enterprise-wide IT solutions
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a virtual environment with geographically dispersed teams
Pay Range: $72-82
