Overview:
TEKsystems is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide hands-on support for hardware and software for one of our clients based out of Columbus, Ohio. This role focuses on maintaining operational readiness of desktop systems on both production floors and in office settings, along with basic networking and server support.

TEKsystems is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide hands-on support for hardware and software for one of our clients based out of Columbus, Ohio. This role focuses on maintaining operational readiness of desktop systems on both production floors and in office settings, along with basic networking and server support.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver on-site support for desktop computers, mobile RF devices, and peripherals
- Configure, install, and maintain end-user workstations and hardware
- Provide troubleshooting and technical assistance for computers, printers, phones, and industrial devices
- Perform break/fix services for network, server, and end-user equipment
- Support basic administration of network servers and user accounts
- Track hardware inventory and manage electronic waste
- Support and maintain systems running Windows 10
- Occasionally re-image devices or reset wireless access points
- Perform additional IT-related tasks as assigned
Required Skills:
- Solid problem-solving abilities and critical thinking
- Strong multitasking and prioritization in fast-paced environments
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to perform under pressure and adapt quickly to changing needs
Physical Requirements:
- Operate personal computer and related equipment regularly
- Lift up to 50 lbs. when handling or installing hardware
- Climb ladders up to 25 feet to access elevated network gear (training provided)
- Maneuver through tight spaces (catwalks/mezzanines) with equipment
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with desktop support in industrial or production environments
- Understanding of basic networking concepts (routers, switches)
- Comfort with re-imaging systems and wireless access point resets
Schedule & Location:
