Workday Project Manager in Wilmington CT and New York City NYC (Hybrid)

About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Workday Project Manager to oversee the successful implementation and delivery of Workday solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing project teams, engaging with business users, and preparing comprehensive technical solutions. This role requires a strong leader who can proactively solve problems, communicate effectively, and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of Workday implementation projects from initiation to delivery.
  • Interact with business users to gather and manage requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs.
  • Prepare detailed technical solutions and project plans, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues and risks to keep projects on track.
  • Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to all stakeholders, maintaining transparency and alignment.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Mentor and lead project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

  • Proven experience in project management, specifically with Workday implementations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to interact with and manage expectations of business users.
  • Expertise in requirements management and preparing technical solutions.

  • Deep understanding of the Workday platform and its modules.

Desirable Skills:

  • Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience with delivery management and client-facing roles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
