Job Details

Location: 100% Remote (Option to work onsite in Plano, TX or Ridgeland, MS)

Compensation: $120,000 $200,000 DOE + benefits

About the Role:

We re seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team and take ownership of managing and optimizing Microsoft Azure environments. This role involves supporting and deploying .NET applications backed by MariaDB/MySQL, ensuring our infrastructure is reliable, secure, and high performing.

What You ll Do

  • Manage and monitor Microsoft Azure resources, including VMs, networking, storage, and security.
  • Support deployment and operations of .NET Core and .NET Framework applications (IIS, Kestrel).
  • Administer and optimize MariaDB/MySQL databases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and application issues.
  • Automate tasks with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Partner with DevOps to maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, including patching and backups.

What We re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience in Systems or Cloud Administration.
  • Strong hands-on background with Azure IaaS/PaaS.
  • Solid knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Practical experience with MariaDB/MySQL administration.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, networking, and documentation skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Microsoft Azure certification (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305).
  • Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, New Relic, or Application Insights.
